PRATTVILLE…Russell Charles Marshall (SFC, United States Army, Retired), a resident of Prattville, formerly of Ozark, passed away, Thursday, August 19, 2021, in Prattville surrounded by his family. He was 73.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2021,  in Safe Harbor Outreach Center in Prattville. Graveside services, with military honors, will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, Ohio. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars #6020, 434 Highway 84 East, Daleville, Alabama 36322.

Mr. Marshall was born October 3, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was son of the late James Raymond Marshall and June Gertrude Dickman Marshall. He was retired from the United States Army, having served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Marshall moved to the Wiregrass where he retired as a helicopter mechanic at Fort Rucker. He then moved to Florida and back to Alabama to be with his family. Mr. Marshall was a lifetime member of the VFW #6020, Daleville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ozark. His passion included old cars and gun collections.

Surviving relatives include his four children, Cynthia Ann Reynolds (Michael), Milford, VA, Rev. Raymond William Marshall (Mercedes), Canton, MI, John Thomas Marshall (Veronica), Prattville, and James R. Marshall (Sarah P.), Opelika; step-daughter, Courtney Colbert; one sister, Nancy Peeler (Jim), Cherry Hill, NJ; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Ashley, Ryan, Erika, Wayne, Shelby, Rachel, Zion, Judah, Kinsley, and Cooper; numerous great-grandchildren.
