ARGUTA COMMUNITY… Mrs. Myrtice Danford Lane, a resident of the Arguta Community, near Ozark, died early Thursday morning, February 25, 2021 at her home. She was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 1, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, near Blue Springs. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Ms. Lane, daughter of the late Ervin Danford and Doris Sherman Danford, was a native of Blue Springs and has lived in the Ozark for many years. She was devoted, hardworking mother who loved her family. Ms. Lane was preceded in death by two daughters, Bonnie Day Johnson and Brenda Faye Blackmon; sister, Faye Angela Danford Barrentine.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Penny Lane Jones, Ariton; three sons, Paul Blackmon (Felicia), Chris Markoff (Margie), and David Lane, Jr. (Christy), all of Ozark; sister, Eleanor Danford Johnson, Enterprise; brother, John Danford (Terry), Skipperville; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
