Ozark

OZARK…. Mrs. Joan Waters Vaught, a resident of Ozark, near Skipperville, died Saturday morning, March 20, 2021 at her home. She was 71.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Vaught, daughter of the late Epifonio Ramos and Lotella Waters Ramos, was a native of Carrollton, Texas. She moved to Ozark in 1989 and was formerly employed with Ozark Striping Company and Family Traditions Deli both in Ozark. Mrs. Vaught enjoyed arts and crafts and she, along with her husband, owned and operated Nonnie and Paw Paw’s Country Corner.

Surviving relatives include her husband of forty-five years, Bud Vaught; daughter, Elizabeth Dobbs (Trey), all of Ozark; two sisters, Connie Guest (Randy), Denton, TX and Sara Gilstrap (Gene), Durant, OK; her brother, Jimmy Ramos (Pat), Durant, OK; five grandchildren, Mendie Dobbs, Lucas Dobbs, Tristrine Dobbs, Ashley Dobbs, and Keri Risden; one great-grandson, JaKolby Maddox; several nieces and nephews.
