ARITON…Mr. Wyatt Hardy, a resident of Ariton, died early Thursday morning, May 29, 2025, in a Dothan hospital. He was 63.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hardy, son of the late Louis Wyatt Hardy and Ollie Mae Joles Hardy, was a native of Picayune, Mississippi and moved to Ariton in 1972. He owned and operated Wyatt’s Asphalt Paving for over forty years. Mr. Hardy loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Neviah. He always was willing to lend a helping hand, putting others before himself. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his children, Amanda Hardy and Wyatt Hardy.
Surviving relatives include his brother, Keith Hardy (Erlinda), Ariton; granddaughter, Neviah Leatherwood, Ariton; nieces and nephews, Bill Emrick (Angie), Princess Brown (Alan), Savannah Evans (Trey), and Elvis Hardy (Jessica); great nieces and great nephew, Angel, Natalie, Heaven, Myalie, Breylie, Aynslie, and Iden; his companion of eight years, Audra Petty, her sons, Ashton Petty and Alex Whigham, and daughters, Kathryn and Jessica, grandchildren, Bricen, Harrison, and Kinsley; numerous other relatives and friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alan Brown, Trey Evans, Elvis Hardy, Dale Jones, Ashton Petty, Eric Green, and Alex Whigham.
