She graduated from Troy State Teacher’s College in 1956 with a Batchelor’s degree and from West Georgia in 1977 with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. She shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ from New York, Louisiana, Georgia, throughout Alabama and to the Philippines. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Ozark. In addition to traveling, Ms. Susie also loved to do yard work and cut grass. She hated Bahia grass and would pull up the sprigs or cut them with scissors in between each grass cutting.
