OZARK…Mr. Ronald Palmer, a resident of Ozark, died early Monday morning, May 12, 2025, at his home. He was 90.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Palmer, son of the late James William Palmer and Helen Viola Powell Palmer, was a native of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and formerly lived in the Mojave Desert in California, Alaska, and Pennsylvania before moving to Ozark in 2011. While in Alaska, he worked on the Alaskan Pipeline before being drafted into the United States Army to serve in the Korean War. Mr. Palmer worked as a carpenter and rode a ferry to work in New York. He always enjoyed being on his ranch taking care of the animals, also enjoyed traveling, and collecting and driving antique cars. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Rogers and four brothers.
Surviving relatives are his nieces and nephews, including Ronda Young and her husband, Robert of Ozark; great nieces and great nephews; his dear friend, Anthony Russo.
