Rickey C Hughes

ENTERPRISE…Mr. Rickey C. Hughes, a resident of Enterprise (formerly of the Asbury Community, near Ozark), died Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2025, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 65.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 20, 2025, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hughes was born February 1, 1960, in Ozark. He attended G.W. Long High School in Skipperville. Mr. Hughes was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He has lived in Enterprise for the past several years, where he was employed with AAA Storage Warehouses. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his brother, David Hughes.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Mary Ann Danford (Royce), Skipperville; father, Sterling Hughes (Shirley), Ozark; brother, Bryan Keith Hughes (Sherry), Skipperville; aunts and uncles, Helen Skinner (Jerry), Monroeville, Alabama, Sharon Tubberville (David), Excel, Alabama, Mildred Ellis (Roy), Monroeville, Alabama, Floyd Lemmon (Gayle), Cocoa, Florida, and Lydia Grimes, Brewton; step-siblings, Jamie Thornton (Cathy), Wetumpka, Alabama, Cheryl Hand (Jeff Mounts), Titus, Alabama, and Jerry Thornton (Jennifer), Marietta, Georgia; friends and cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Steve Jerkins, Zackery Hughes, Heath Whatley, Billy Moore, Jack Hartzog, and Jamie Thornton.
