OZARK…Mrs. Mollie Jane Ostrom Morgan, a resident of Ozark, near Skipperville, died late Friday evening, December 23, 2022, at her home. She was 80.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Evan Kohen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Morgan, daughter of the late Ellie Davis and Voncile Spooner Davis, was a native of Pahokee, Florida. She formerly lived in Miami, Florida and Ohio before moving to Ozark, near Skipperville in the 1980’s. Mrs. Morgan was co-owner, operator, and bookkeeper of Gold Coast Plumbing in Boynton Beach, Florida and was formerly employed with the Best Western Hotel in Ozark, which was owned by Walter Hand. She formerly attended the Asbury United Methodist Church and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ozark. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed dancing and being at the Gathering Place in Ozark while her husband was in the band. She will always be remembered by her infectious smile and enjoying life. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her first husband, C.A. “Tubby” Ostrom; a son, Mark Ostrom, and a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Davis.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Ladon Morgan, Ozark; a daughter, Valarie Pangle (Danny), Maricopa, Arizona; a son, Paul Ostrom, Pompano Beach, Florida; a sister, Vonell Alacon (Mack), Delray Beach, Florida; two brothers, Vance Davis, Jupiter, Florida and Ronald Davis, Ozark; two grandchildren, Colin Charles and Brandon Charles; several nieces and nephews.
