OZARK…Mr. Kent David Freeman (Sergeant First Class, United States Army, Retired) of Ozark, died early Thursday afternoon, February 1, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. He was 73.

            The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Private funeral services will follow. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Freeman, son of the late Floyd E. Freeman and Beatrice Adams Freeman, was a native of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He joined the United States Army in 1969 and lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while serving in the Army. He retired from the Army in 1991 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. While on deployment in South Korea, he met and married his beautiful wife, Sun. Mr. Freeman was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. Mr. Freeman had a passion for helping and being involved with Boy Scouts. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Freeman.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Sun Freeman, Ozark; daughter, Teresa McLeod (Jimmy), Greenville, Texas; son, David Freeman (Hannah), Ozark; brother, Brian Freeman (Becky), Logan, Utah; three grandchildren, Kymie Freeman, Harper Freeman, and Hatcher Freeman; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
