Mrs. Outlaw, the beloved daughter of the late Charles M. Richards and Lamerla Roberts Richards, was a proud native and lifelong resident of Brundidge, a community she cherished and served throughout her life. Her roots ran deep in the red clay of Pike County, and she carried a quiet strength and grace that reflected the values she learned growing up there.
For thirty‑three dedicated years, she worked at First National Bank of Brundidge, where she was known not only for her professionalism, but for the kindness and steadiness she offered to coworkers and customers alike. Many in the community remember her warm smile at the bank window, her patient guidance, and the genuine care she showed to everyone who crossed her path.
A faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Brundidge, Mrs. Outlaw lived her faith through service, compassion, and a gentle spirit. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she found great comfort and purpose in worship, fellowship, and the lifelong friendships she formed there.
She and her husband shared a beautiful life together, filled with simple joys and treasured adventures. They loved traveling side by side, exploring new places, and creating memories that became family stories told again and again. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones—gathering around the table, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment with them.
Mrs. Outlaw was also proud of her heritage and devoted many years to honoring it through her involvement in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Confederacy. Through these organizations, she celebrated history, community, and the legacy of those who came before her.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evieleen Howell and Sally Howell, and a brother, John H. Richards.
