OZARK…Mrs. Jo-Ann Weisensale Glass, a resident of Ozark, died late Wednesday evening, February 21, 2024, in Dothan, AL, surrounded by family. She was 82.

Jo-Ann, daughter of the late Kenneth Leon Weisensale and Mildred “Millie” Casselberry Weisensale, was a native of Pennsylvania. She married at an early age and became a military wife. Mrs. Glass lived in various locations and overseas, while her husband served in the United States Army, before moving to Ozark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Glass (SFC, United States Army, Retired), sister, Bonnie Lee Weisensale, and great grandson, Ryker Lampley.

Jo-Ann married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Glass, and they were married 62 years. Together, they raised 6 children and traveled the world together as an Army couple and family. When Kenneth was twice deployed to Vietnam, Jo-Ann was steadfast in keeping the family together and united in fulfilling their responsibilities and looking ahead to Kenneth’s safe return. Although family was always the center of her life, Jo-Ann also loved singing, dancing, sewing, gardening, and especially crocheting. Jo-Ann loved animals and it wasn’t unusual for her to take in animals in need. She was a successful dog trainer having participated and ribboned in many dog shows. Over the years, she and Kenneth owned and operated several businesses including KeJo’s Kennels, KeJo’s Pet Grooming, and Ken’s Woodnook. She is remembered as a patient, gentle soul with an infectious laugh, who was wise, caring, and compassionate not only toward family and friends, but toward anyone who crossed her path.

Surviving family include her children, Mike Glass (Denise), Donna LoBello (Steven), Kenneth Glass (Susie), Vic Glass, Jennifer Glass, and Allen Glass (Jennifer); grandchildren, Marcia Pelczar (Chris), Tommy Williams (Julie), Shannon Buckingham (Shawn), Shellie Smail (Frankie), Victoria Galvan (David), Kathryn Moates (Logan), Daniel LoBello, David LoBello, Joshua (Alasia), Jeremy, Buddy (Alecia), Justin, Brittany Lampley (Jonathan), Lisa Risenhoover (Andrew), Zachery, Dillan Tatum, Tara Tatum, Jade Blaxton, and Aubrey; great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryder, Phebe, Nolan, Lucas, Ryan, Jonathan, Devan, Isabella, Tori, Julianna, Dominic, Braileigh, Charlie, Luna, Alaura, Gabe, Katelynn, Aubrey, Kyndall, and her namesake Mildred Jo-Ann; siblings, Jeanie Kadilac, Kenneth Leon Weisensale Jr. (Lavita), Beverly Bolton Newman (Claude), Brenda Medina, Mary Schwertzler, and Theresa Ramirez (Cesar); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
