Jerry E Bass

OZARK…Mr. Jerry E. Bass, a resident of Ozark, died early Monday afternoon, September 30, 2024, at his home. He was 82.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Edward Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Grimes. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

 Mr. Bass, son of the late Henry Albert Bass and Doris Bass Fontenot, was a native of Midland City and moved to Ozark in 1951. He was a 1960 Graduate of Carroll High School. He owned and operated Daleville Auto Parts in Daleville for many years. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Bass Spicer.

 Surviving relatives include his two sons, Michael Bass, Ozark and Joel Bass, Headland; five grandchildren, Patrick McDaniel (Ashley), Matthew Bass, Courtney Gilmer (Sam), Brannon Bass, and Ethan Spicer; mother of his children, Shirley Chancey Yelverton, Dothan.
