Janice Casey Stafford

OZARK…Mrs. Janice Casey Stafford, a resident of Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024, in Dale Medical Center. She was 78.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Clio. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

 Mrs. Stafford, daughter of the late Virgil Ray Casey and Warine Smith Casey, was a native of Barbour County, near Ariton. She lived in Elamville most of her lifetime until moving to Ozark in 2000. Mrs. Stafford retired from the Barbour County Board of Education as a school bus driver after twenty-five years of employment. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Jackie Rogers Stafford, sister, Betty Sue Willis, brother, Kenneth Casey, and son-in-law, Curt Hagler.

 Surviving relatives include three daughters, Linda Fleming (Toby), Shorterville, Lisa Lane, and Donna Means (Willie); two sons, Lynn Stafford and Tim Stafford (Tina), all of Ozark; sister, Martha Thompson, Clio; two brothers, Ronnie Casey, Dothan and Steve Casey (Debbi), Ozark; sister-in-law, Delores Casey; seven grandchildren, Kristy Woodham (Jerrod), Marshall Lane, Heather Fleming (Sean), Cory Stafford (Candace), Kayla Hill (Vaughn), Haley Garner (Ryan Holder), and Isabell Stafford; nine great-grandchildren, Bryce Brannon, Emmy Watson, Mason Woodham, Addyson Stafford, Gracie Stafford, Rylan Holder, Hollis Holder, Tatum Hill, and Jones Hill; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 She was known to many as “Momma, Mother, Granny, ‘Nother Granny, Buck Granny, and Ginny”.
